GENERAL MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES

LET'S TALK

For a variety of reasons, there are clients who struggle with the daily tasks associated with independent living.  This often presents as avoidance of what often looks like “simple tasks” and leaves family members frustrated and flustered.  Our mental health services can help you. These kinds of struggles are not uncommon and many clients seek to hide these challenges from their families and their treatment providers because they are embarrassed or ashamed.  Often, when young people suffer from serious mental health conditions such as addiction, eating disorders, or mood disorders, they miss out on many crucial developmental steps during the course of their illness.  It is easy for others to assume they have certain skills based on their age or educational level.

Our recovery coaches can work with clients to establish goals and work with them to gain the skills and the confidence to do things like find a job, practice coping skills, time management and study skills, cooking, basic banking and money management skills, or helping to navigate more complex systems such as a university or hospital.  We understand that individuals working to improve their mental health can be quite fearful and our coaches work alongside the clients to leave them feeling more secure and competent.
